Shrimp n Grits
We had a birthday dinner there and everything was so good. Our birthday girl is a vegetarian and she loved her grilled portobello mushroom. We all enjoyed the food and drinks.. You need to put it on your list of great restaurants.
BBQ Brisket FLATBREAD
Chloe was the best ever! The sweetest waitress and the best food ever! We drove two hours for my bday and it was sooooo worth it!!! AND they have our pups the cutest bowls of water ever! So pet friendly!
Pancakes
These were amazing - huge fluffy and crispy on the outer edges. Best I've ever had!!
French Toast
I haven't had French toast in years but it sounded so wonderful I went for it. Was so rich and delicious I could only east a small amount but took the rest home. The Bloody Mary was so good I had two! The bartender gave us a history recap of the building and the area which we loved. Restaurant is beautifully decorated both tasteful and fun. I highly recommend.
Chicken and Waffles
My new favorite chicken & waffle! Flaky, golden, and deliciously seasoned chicken breast with a delightfully fluffy cornbread waffle. You may not intend to eat the whole waffle, but you will eat the whole waffle.
Sliced Ribeye with Chimichurri
I'm super picky about my ribeyes...the sliced ribeye with chimichurri is absolute perfection! We order it every time!
Prime Rib Sandwich
Love the vibes and the food is wonderful! Fries were crisp and the sandwhich was filling. I had a cocktail as well. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Can't wait to try their breakfast/ brunch items. Perfect girls lunch/dinner location!
lemon blueberry pancakes
This week, Chad and I indulged in a spontaneous brunch date, venturing to a new to us spot we have eagerly anticipated trying: Sugar & Rye. This little treasure is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and exquisitely appealing to the taste buds. I began with a honey lavender latte, a delightful start as we explored the menu, conversing about the various enticing options. Ultimately, I settled on the sweet Lemon Blueberry Pancakes, while Chad opted for the savory Shrimp & Grits. While I can only describe the flavors from my perspective, the combination of the lemon custard blueberry sauce with its honey ricotta topping was a unique and delightful surprise for my taste buds. In fact, it might just be the best I've ever had. Meanwhile, it was evident that Chad thoroughly enjoyed his choice of Blackened Shrimp, Andouille Sausage, Poblano, and Pepperjack Grits in a Red Creole Sauce. Our experience at Sugar & Rye surpassed our expectations, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. With its coastal-inspired cuisine and charming ambiance, we anticipate making many return visits in the future.
Shrimp n Grits
These shrimp & grits are right up there with Brennan's, maybe even better! They know what they're doing with this dish. Go with an empty tank so you can finish it!
Biscuits & Gravy w/ Maque Choux
This was the best biscuits & gravy I have ever had in my whole entire life! Fluffy cat head biscuit with creamy and hearty sausage gravy, perfectly balanced by the sweet corn. Chef's kiss!
